Route 66 This minimalist acrylic on canvas work, measuring 36 x 36 inches, is distinguished by the power of its visual language, reduced to its essentials. Against a subtly textured off-white background, two black forms dominate the composition in a balance that is both simple and evocative. On the left, a broad, gestural band traverses the canvas in a fluid, descending curve. Created with thick acrylic paint applied with a palette knife, it features deep, parallel striations that accentuate the movement and give the impression of a continuous, almost organic flow. In the upper right, a black circle composed of multiple concentric layers immediately draws the eye. The circular lines appear to rotate, suggesting a vortex, a source of energy, or a meditative symbol. The contrast between the vertical trajectory of the elongated form and the stability of the circle creates a harmonious dialogue within the space. The monochrome black and white palette reinforces the clean lines of the work while highlighting the richness of the textures and the relief of the paint.
